Valentine's Day: 5 campaign ideas

Valentine's Day is fast approaching and if you haven't already planned for a Valentine's Day campaign, I highly recommend doing so now! By working with campaigns, you can increase your sales, especially during the holidays.

Valentine's Day is often associated with gifts, but regardless Whatever type of business you run, Valentine's Day is a perfect holiday to boost your sales!

In this article, I provide five suggestions for campaigns that can be applied to most businesses.

Discounted bundles and package prices

By making bundled offers with multiple products, you can increase order value and, if the offer is only valid for a limited period, increase sales. Some examples of bundles and package prices:

- If you run an e-commerce business - buy X and Y and get 5% off
- If you are a consultant - buy at least 10 consulting hours and get one hour free
- If you run a SaaS company - Become a customer and get an add-on free of charge for three months.

Package the offer nicely with a Valentine's Day theme and you're good to go!

Secret love gift for all new customers on Valentine's Day

Many people like to treat themselves to something extra on Valentine's Day. Therefore, it is a perfect opportunity to motivate customers a little extra to buy something from you or become a customer. Promote that you send a free love gift with all orders during Valentine's Day (which can be a cheaper item from your range). If you do not sell goods but, for example, digital services, your love gift can instead be that you get a premium account for free for a month or that you send a profiled t-shirt to all new customers.

Valentine's Day quiz

There are many tools available today to create online quizzes tailored to your business relatively inexpensively. This is an incredibly good way to get more subscribers to your newsletter. Create a quiz with a Valentine's Day theme and promote it on social media. Some suggestions:

- If you are in the food and beverage industry - “Find the ultimate dinner for you and your date”
- If you are in the fashion industry - “Find the perfect outfit for your Valentine's Day date”
- If you are in the interior design industry - “How to decorate for Valentine's Day, tailored to your style”
- If you are in the experience industry - “What experience is right for you and your date on Valentine's Day?”
- If you are active in the staffing and recruitment industry - "The Love Barometer: Are you spreading enough love in your workplace?"

You have to be creative, you can find something for all types of activities.

Valentine's Day competition

Take the opportunity to gain new followers on your social media by organizing a competition. You can raffle off something suitable for Valentine's Day or something that can be given as a gift. The competition could also involve the contestant tagging someone they would like to spend Valentine's Day with.

Collaborate with florists

Collaborating with other companies can often bring attention, more followers on social media and new customers. Contact a florist and suggest that you collaborate during Valentine's Day, for example, all customers who order or become customers with you during Valentine's Day will receive a free flower delivery. You promote this campaign, which gives the florist visibility to your customers and you in turn gain visibility on the florist's social media. This is also a campaign that has the potential to gain extra visibility, as customers could potentially post pictures of the flowers on social media and tag you.
